They need to change the way they function by making to where as though once you cloak then de-cloak you have to wait til it is fully recharged to cloak again.
The cloaks should be intended for stealth such sneaking pass large amounts of enemies getting to objectives to drop links and to speed hack.
As of right now everyone is using them for combat purposes. They sneak pass five guys get behind them de-cloak kill them then rinse and repeat. This is killing the role of the assault class and it needs to be fixed. |

Point blank period it is broke and the people who want to defend it are just the ones that are abusing it and the ones who rely on it to get their kills. I for one do it just because everyone else is, I guarantee we will see a huge decrease in player activity because of this. |

This is to balance scouts with Scanners. The fact that everyone is using them is irrelevant. It's a new toy, people are going to test it to see how well it works i certain situations.

I mostly use the Cloak for recon and stealth purposes. But if I see an enemy while cloaked, I will try to take them out if possible.
I never said scouts are just recon and hackers I said everyone is abusing what cloaks are meant for.
They were not meant for combat and the reason they are being used like that is because they are broken.
Sure you hear a shotgun behind you and you turn around and see a scout kill three people you start to shoot he runs behind cover cloaks and you never see him again.
That shouldn't be allowed |

CCP has stated that 1: PvP is inherently imbalanced. You will never have two people of similar skill (RL skill) going at it. 2: Even if things are intended for a specific use, they will be used for killing. And they enjoy that part.
I'm a child that can admit that a piece of equipment is broken w/e I should of known not to waste my time trying to reason with a bunch of 16 yr olds. |

Ok, I LIKE Cloaks, but I DO NOT play Scout exclusively. I use Cal Scout and CalAssault. I kill equally well as a cloaky scout and a Dampened Assault. Maybe you should learn to notice your surroundings?
I never said I had a problem noticing them I never said I had a problem killing. I said that cloaks are broken and are not being used for their purpose. |

lol but not you, you already proven that you can't do well without cloaks by saying scouts are balanced now. What about Djinn marauder, cyrus li moody, radar, roner, ttw, frost kitty,lightning xvx I could on on about good scouts before 1.8, and you won't be on the list.
Edit: the only time scouts really complained were ttk on the rifles fact. |

If the cloaked scout wins he would have done it with our without the cloak.
